Complaints & Reporting

Last updated 1 April 2026

PRE-LAUNCH NOTICE: This page is a working draft. Specialist counsel review is required before this becomes our published policy. The category list, SLAs, and statutory signposting (Ofcom, ICO, NCA, IWF, Revenge Porn Helpline) must be confirmed by a regulated UK media or T&S solicitor before launch. Remove this notice after sign-off.

1. About This Page

We operate this complaints procedure under the UK Online Safety Act 2023 and Ofcom's Illegal Harms Code of Practice (March 2025). Whoever you are — an account holder, the subject of content, or a member of the public — you can use this page to flag content or conduct that you believe breaks our rules or breaks the law. Anonymous reports are accepted for every category below.

2. Choose a Category

The fastest way to get a report to the right team is to use the correct category. Each category has its own intake route and its own service-level agreement (SLA).

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

SLA: Immediate — reviewed on a 24/7 rota.

Suspected sexual content depicting anyone under 18 is reviewed immediately and, where confirmed, removed and preserved as evidence. We refer to the UK National Crime Agency (NCA CEOP) and to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). You may also report directly to the IWF if you prefer not to go through us. Email safety@mintedmodels.com or use the anonymous form: Report anonymously.

Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII)

SLA: Fast-track — aim ≤ 24 hours from receipt.

Intimate images shared without the consent of the person depicted — including "revenge porn" and synthetic / deepfake imagery — are treated as a top-priority Code §6.4 category. You can be the subject of the image or a third party reporting on their behalf; you do not need to be a registered user. Reports are reviewed by a named trust & safety lead and the imagery is taken down pending review. Where appropriate, we will refer to law enforcement and signpost the Revenge Porn Helpline for direct support. Fast-track NCII report.

Harmful or abusive content

SLA: High-priority — aim ≤ 48 hours.

Threats, harassment, hate speech, incitement to violence, content glorifying self-harm, or other content that breaks our community standards or UK law. Email safety@mintedmodels.com with a URL and a brief description.

Copyright infringement

SLA: Reviewed within 5 business days; takedown targeted within 14 days.

If you believe content on MintedModels infringes your copyright, follow our notice-and-takedown procedure on /legal/dmca. Copyright notices are handled by our designated agent and require a sworn statement.

Impersonation or fake account

SLA: Reviewed within 5 business days.

Someone is using your name, your photographs, or a brand you own to operate an account that is not yours. Provide proof of identity (or rights ownership) plus the URL of the offending profile. Email safety@mintedmodels.com.

Privacy violation

SLA: Reviewed within 5 business days.

Someone has shared your personal information (address, phone, real name where you use a stage name, etc.) without your consent. We will assess and remove expeditiously where the disclosure is unlawful. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Underage user

SLA: Immediate review — account suspended pending investigation.

If you believe an account on MintedModels is operated by a person under 18, please tell us. We are an 18+ service; underage accounts are removed and any imagery is handled under our CSAM protocol. Email safety@mintedmodels.com with the username and any supporting context.

Other / unsure

SLA: Reviewed within 5 business days.

If your concern doesn't match the categories above, email safety@mintedmodels.com and we'll route the report to the right team. Where we triage your report into a higher-priority category, we will accelerate the SLA accordingly.

3. What Happens After You Report

  1. Acknowledgement. An automatic acknowledgement is sent within minutes if you provided an email; an admin acknowledgement follows within the SLA above.
  2. Triage. CSAM and NCII reports go straight to a named trust & safety lead and pause the affected content pending review. Other categories are triaged within their SLA.
  3. Decision. We will tell you, where appropriate, what action we have taken (or why we haven't). Some details are withheld for privacy reasons — for example, we will tell a reporter that an account has been actioned, but not the specifics of moderator decisions about a third party.
  4. Appeal. If you disagree with our decision, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a different moderator. Appeals are answered within 10 business days.
  5. Evidence preservation. Where we suspect illegal content, we preserve evidence in a segregated bucket as required by UK law (POCA 1978 §1B defence requires preservation for law enforcement).

4. Independent Escalation

You can complain about us to an independent body without going through our process first — we cannot, and will not, ask you to:

5. Anonymous Reporting

Every category above can be reported anonymously. Anonymous reports are still triaged and actioned, but we will be unable to send you the outcome. For NCII and CSAM specifically, the anonymous reporting form preserves evidence appropriately and routes the report to a named trust & safety lead.

6. Named Accountable Person

Under Ofcom's accountability guidance, MintedModels has a named senior individual responsible for content compliance. Their contact details, role, and the internal escalation path are on file with Ofcom and are available on request to regulators and law enforcement. The accountable person's name will be published here at launch.

7. Updates

This page is updated when categories, SLAs, or statutory contacts change. Material changes are flagged in the "Last updated" date above.
